Our Pop-Up Journey

Our Pop-Up Journey

It's hard to believe that we've been popping up all around Philadelphia in front of other local businesses with our lil' table for a whole year. We often laugh nowadays about how we somehow managed to run our very first pop-up in below-freezing weather with two carafes of drip coffee and a space heater to warm our frozen toes.

Since we started our pop-ups last February, we've invested in two small espresso machines, acquired a beautiful wooden A-frame built by our good friends, John and Gina (@leeward__studio), and got the chance to meet so many of your beautiful faces.

We've gone from once-a-month pop-ups to weekend pop-ups to daily pop-ups. We found a corner inside @lilpopshop in West Philly, parked ourselves in front of Essene Market in Queen Village, and set up in front of @stumpplants, @artintheage, @riverwardsproduce, @kalayaphilly, and of coursethe place where it all started, @thiscorner_co.

We're excited to share that starting tomorrow, we’ll be in-residence at @weckerlys on Girard Avenue for daily service! We're energized to be able to serve the community of a completely new neighborhood. As we begin a new journey in Fishtown, the steady and anchored presence of Weckerly's gives us great comfort. For our first day there, we’ll be open from 9 to 5 with our staple menu, along with delicious affogatos (!) starting at 1. We’ll also continue to be in Queen Village on 4th Street every weekday.

The people behind these businesses have shown us incredible kindness and generosity that are truly what carried us here. We are forever indebted to them, and the friendships we've been able to develop along the way mean the world to us as we work towards opening our own storefront.

We would not be who we are without you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Gratefully,
The Persimmon team
